Buying a Used Harley-Davidson®

You see, when you go to the franchise dealers they will definitely have a fancy store, all the chrome and accessories you could possibly need and high prices. The problem is these dealers want you to buy a new Harley® and they only deal with the used motorcycles because they have to take the trades to sell the new bikes. - Service and Repairs– Every pre-owned bike needs some attention. Some just need a basic oil changes but others need necessary maintenance such as cam tensioners, brakes, bearings, etc.
- Tires – Most bikes, even if they are close to the wear indicator, don't get tires installed.
- Inspection- There are many items that need inspected. There are at least 50 different things that need checked.
- Detail- Most bikes get a basic wash but don't get a good detail and wax that will not only make the bike look better but better preserve the paint.
- Guarantee- Their bikes usually have no guarantee and are sold "as-is"
- Finance programs- The will have finance program but usually the rates will not be as good as they claim on the new bikes.
