We prioritize your safety. All of our boat are broguht in new and are only used 2 seasons before they are rotated out for new. All our boats are regularly maintained and come with life jackets and safety gear. Our team is also available to provide you with a briefing to ensure you feel comfortable operating the vessel.

What Platinum Boat Rentals locations offer boat rentals?

Platinum Boat Rentals offers boat rentals in Coloma, MI and surrounding areas. Lakes include: Paw Paw Lake, Little Paw Paw Lake, Dewey Lake, Magician Lake, Cable  Lake, Little Crooked Lake, Crooked Lake, Big Crooked Lake, Round Lake,  Rush Lake, Van Auken Lake & Pipestone Lake

 Platinum Powersports puts our customers first. We strive to make every rental experience perfect and unforgettable. Purchases new boats every two years to keep up with the quickly changing technology, and provide our customers with the most high-end, luxury boats we can. 

What are my rental times?

Rental Hours Start time is 10 A.M. to End time of 4 P.M.

Can I rent the boat at a lake of my choice, and do you deliver? 

 If you are on  a Lake not listed in the What Platinum Boat Rentals locations offer boat rentals please contact a representative at Platinum Boat Rentals to discuss options. Delivery fees for all locations listed is a flat $100 charge. 

How old do I need to be to rent a boat with Platinum?

 Anyone 21 or older can rent a boat with Platinum!

Can I smoke on the pontoon?

Smoking and fireworks are not allowed on the pontoon. 

Do I need to be on the water to keep the pontoon overnight?

Yes, you must be on waterfront property to be able to secure the pontoon properly. You must either have a pier or ability to beach the boat in order to rent from Platinum  Boat Rentals. 

Are there late fees if not returned at designated time?

Yes, late fee is $150 per 15 minutes after designated return time.

What are the qualifications for renting a boat?

 Platinum Highly recommends that all driver(s) of a Platinum powersports boat rental have an active boater’s safety certification for the state the boat is being rented in.  By having the proper Certificate, renters will save approx. 20 minutes of steps throughout Platinums pre-rental orientation process. Certification is Exempt if you were born before June 30, 1996. Prior boating experience is required for all the use of all Platinums rental boats. We will go over the boat in depth but expect renters to be very competent when it comes to boating for the safety of everyone onboard and on the lake

Is my deposit refundable?

 Yes! Up to two weeks before your first rental day, the 100% deposit is fully refundable. We encourage you to purchase the Peek Protection which would allow you  to cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled rental date for an 80% refund.

Does the boat come with anything?

 Yes! The boat is equipped with safety gear (anchor, first aid kit, paddles, type II vests, 1 throwable, etc.). The boat will also come with 1 adult S-XL vest.  Other adult/children's vests available for rent.

Does the boat come with wakeboards/surfboards/skis/tubes?

 Additional rental gear is available to rent for a small fee per day 

Is fuel included?

 The boat will come with a full tank.  Renter is responsible to return the boat with a full tank of gas or will be charged accordingly. 

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, we are dog friendly. 

What do I need to bring?

Driver’s License for all drivers (Remember drivers must be 21 or older and have prior boating experience)

Michigan boaters safety certificate (Highly recommended for all drivers)

Do I need a MI boaters safety certificate?

Platinum Boat rentals highly recommends that all drivers regardless of age, obtain a Michigan boaters safety certificate. If you do not have one you can go to this website and take an online course. https://www.boat-ed.com/michigan/

What to expect when I arrive at the launch?

A Platinum Rental associate will provide the drivers of the boat a thorough walk-through and orientation of the boat and its features.

Several photos will be taken of the Boat, for potential damage assessment. Platinum recommends that the customers take photos throughout this step in the process as well. The driver of the vessel will sign an orientation checklist waiver, indicating they have understood all items throughout the orientation process and can operate the vessel safely. All customers onboarding the boat will be asked to sign a waiver prior to departing. Additional gear will be provided and placed in the boat.  The keys will be handed over and you will be on your way to a great day on the water. 

What happens if it rains on my rental day?

 In the case it rains on the date of your rental for 3+ hours before the keys are handed over, Platinum Boat Rentals would be happy to help you find a new rental day for you. Platinum Boat Rentals does not offer refunds for temperature or wind.  We offer Peek Protection so you can get an 80% refund if booking is cancelled 24 hours in advance.
